Purpose:

As the Financial Manager your role will be to oversee our company's financial health and contribute to strategic financial planning. You will be responsible for managing budgeting processes, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Key responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate recording of all accounting transactions.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.

• Prepare budgets and forecasts for each respective department.

• Monitor financial performance by measuring and analysing results, initiating corrective actions, and minimising variances.

• Ensure accurate and timely reporting in compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

• Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and treasury functions.

• Support audits and coordinate with external auditors.

• Ensure compliance with local, national, and international financial regulations and standards.

• Provide financial insights and recommendations to management for strategic decision-making.

• Supervise junior finance staff and assist in their development and training.

• Recommend and implement improvements to financial processes and systems.

Skills:

• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and business operations.

• Proficient in financial software and Excel; experience with ERP systems (e.g., XERO, Cin7 Core) is a plus.

• Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

• High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.

Qualification/s:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred).

Experience:

• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in a financial management or similar role

Additional Information:

• The position is full time (08:30 – 17:00)

• Start Date: Immediately

• Offices are based in Woodstock, Cape Town - Moving offices to Milnerton soon
