Graphic Designer - Paid Media & Performance Marketing
About the Role:
Burnt is looking for a creative, data informed Graphic Designer to own the visual output of our paid media and performance marketing engine. You'll be the engine behind our ad creatives — designing scroll-stopping static ads, motion graphics, and video content that drives real results. This isn't a brand-only role —you'll be designing with conversion in mind.
What You'll Do:
Design and produce high-volume ad creatives across Meta, Google, TikTok, and YouTube — including static, carousel, and video formats
Edit and produce short-form video ads and UGC-style content for paid social channels
Develop creative concepts based on performance briefs, audience insights, and funnel stage (awareness, consideration, retargeting, conversion)
Manage and iterate on creative libraries, ensuring assets are organised and up to date across all active campaigns
Work directly with the performance marketing team to A/B test creative concepts and translate data feedback into design improvements
Resize and adapt master assets for multiple placements and formats efficiently
Stay ahead of platform-specific creative trends (Meta Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts) and ecommerce creative best practices
Contribute to creative strategy sessions and brief interpretation
What You Bring:
Graphic design experience, with a strong focus on paid digital advertising
A portfolio demonstrating ecommerce ad creative — both static and video
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro) and/or Figma
Understanding of direct response design principles — you know what makes someone click
Experience designing for Meta Ads, Google Ads, and TikTok Ads
Ability to work at pace and manage multiple briefs simultaneously without sacrificing quality
Strong attention to detail and an eye for copy-design hierarchy
Bonus: experience with tools like Canva Pro, CapCut, or motion design tools
Nice to Have:
Exposure to performance marketing metrics (CTR, ROAS, CPA) and how they inform creative decisions
Experience in an agency or in-house ecommerce environment
Basic video shooting or UGC coordination experience
Additional Information:
The position is full time (08:30 – 17:00)
Start Date: ASAP
Offices are based in Woodstock, Cape Town / moving to Milnerton soon.
