Role Overview

This is not a support-only role, it’s a stepping stone into high-impact retail leadership.

We’re looking for a Junior Assistant Store Manager who can operate with intent, urgency, and accountability. Someone who doesn’t wait to be told what to do, but understands the rhythm of a high performing store and steps in where it matters most.

Based in Stellenbosch, this role requires a strong understanding of competitive retail environments and the ability to translate that experience into execution that elevates the Burnt standard.

Requirements:

• 3–5 years’ experience as an Assistant Store Manager

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Acting as a second-in-command on the floor, ensuring the store runs with structure, pace, and focus.

• Driving daily execution by keeping the team aligned, accountable, and energised.

• Supporting store performance by actively contributing to sales and operational outcomes.

• Taking ownership of the store environment, from floor standards to team energy.

• Stepping into leadership when required and making sound, real-time decisions.

• Supporting team members through guidance, correction, and encouragement.

• Ensuring stock flow, replenishment, and presentation are always on point.

• Maintaining consistency in how the brand is represented through people, product, and experience.
